TEXT: 2 CORINTHIANS 4:1-18*
MEMORY VERSE: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” (KJV) (2 Corinthians 4:17)
Only God understands the details behind the mysteries of our life’s challenges. Sometimes we wonder why we are faced with certain challenges as Christians because we do not know that God sometimes allows afflictions because they are working for us. The Bible has already made us know that all things work together for our good because we love the Lord and because we are called according to His purpose. Whatever problem you are going through, you must never allow the devil to help you magnify it. God says our affliction, no matter how we see it, is light. It is not heavy. Sometimes we think we are going through serious problems simply because we have not heard what others are passing through. How would you feel if you were crying because you had not eaten for a whole day, and you suddenly came in contact with someone who is not fasting but tells you he had no money to eat for the past five days? I have seen young ladies become impatient and desperate at twenty-three and twenty-four because they are trusting God for whom to marry. What should such people do when they see a lady who is trusting God for whom to marry at forty-five or fifty?
It is never in the agenda of God that you should die or be overwhelmed by any problem. Whatever you may be going through, it is meant to work something out in your favor. There are many successful directors of their own companies today, successful entrepreneurs who are stinkingly rich today who would have died as slaves if not that they lost their job. Some of them were sacked not because they really offended; maybe their sack was a vendetta. They pleaded and did all they could but were not reabsorbed, but today their story is a success story. Their problem worked for them. Many who are real prayer champions today would have died prematurely because of prayerlessness, but thank God for problems that drew them closer to God and drew them to the place of prayer.

Any problem that draws you closer to God is a good problem.
