TEXT: 2 SAMUEL 9:1-13
MEMORY VERSE: “Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” (KJV) (Jeremiah 1:11-12)_
The greatest strategy of the enemy is to use you against yourself. He wants to get you to a tight corner, a point where you will only see yourself as a failure and a hopeless person. Most of the battles of our lives, the disappointments, and the difficulties we go through ultimately target this same issue. The enemy wants you to have a negative picture of yourself. The devil also wants you to have a negative mindset and a misconstrued idea about God. The enemy wants you to think that God does not exist or that God is not as powerful or loving as we think. But beloved, cheer up, our God is alive. You must not yield to the lies of the devil. Whatever problem you are going through now will come to an end.
You will not die where you are because our God is a miracle-working God. What do you believe about yourself? Do you see yourself as a failure or a disappointment? No matter where you are, God can change your story. What you think about yourself or the way you see yourself determines the future that God will give to you. If you see yourself as a failure, you will certainly end up a failure. But if you see yourself as a success, you will end up becoming a success. Stop seeing yourself as a poor person. If you see yourself as a poor person, you can never prosper. Every miracle begins with the way we see ourselves. Things gravitate towards you based on how you see yourself. People even look at you the way you see yourself. That was exactly what happened when Moses sent the twelve spies to spy out the Promised Land. They got there and saw the sons of Anak, the giants, and because of that they began to see themselves as grasshoppers, and invariably people began to see them the way they saw themselves. You may never be treated better than you are treating yourself. No wonder life was very terrible and miserable for someone like Mephibosheth, because he saw himself as a dog. Even before David the king, he could still call himself a dog. It is surprising that someone born with royal blood in his veins could now see himself as a dog because of the situation or circumstances that he went through in life.
WISDOM NUGGET:
We don’t see things the way they are but the way we are.
PRAYER POINT:
I receive grace to walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ. Let every affliction be destroyed in my life, in Jesus name.
